Spooky Craft Night
October 18th, 2020
This spooky craft night was held on Sunday, October 18th. The crafts being offered were customizable, painted wine bottles with twinkle lights on the inside, and a DIY light up ribbon pumpkin with twinkle lights on the inside. Tables were all set up 6ft apart with masks being worn when walking around the studio. All wine bottles were washed and clean before use, and everyone was given their own set of paint brushes, palettes, ribbon, lights, and jar rings.
Participants had a fun time enjoying each others company and complimenting each others work! All wine bottle participants decided what they wanted to make based on their own ideas and examples. By the end of the event we had 4 wine bottles and 4 pumpkins made!
A portion of the proceeds from this event was donated to the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation!
Learn to Draw Session One
September 12th, 2020
This was a Learn to Draw Session with watercolor artist JoAnn Wolfe. Participants picked up their pencils and took to their sketch books creating beautiful images of trees and foliage. This session was held from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm with light refreshments provided.
Social distancing was enforced with tables spread 6 ft apart and masks being worn when working near someone or analyzing the examples hung around the room. Another session will be held on September 26th with more pictures to come soon!
Flower Box Event
July 17th, 2020
A very fun twist on a "paint and sip" type of activity. Instead of actual canvases, the canvas in this scenario was 4ft tall box! Participants got to chose their "Welcome" design, their "Home" design, and what the bottom of the box would say. Options of boxes were white or brown, and white or black paint. The event was held at Duces Bar and Restaurant at DC Golf in Poughkeepsie.
Michele was the coordinator of the event and came to us with this idea. Participants wore masks, filled out COVID Surveys before participating, and remained 6ft apart. Everyone had great time and enjoyed the food and drinks that Duces had provided them. At the end of the night beautiful boxes were made and everyone went home with a smile!
